Jagua :
Jagua is the fruit of the genipa americana tree that lives in tropical rainforests. Its fruit, the jagua, is an edible berry the size of a fig. The indigenous peoples of America have used jagua for centuries for artistic and medicinal purposes. Its color is naturally dark blue. The tattoo is applied in just 30 seconds by moistening the tattoo. The ink is then transferred to the surface layer of your skin (the epidermis) and will appear within 24 to 48 hours.
> Our Tattoos are exclusively made from the natural fruit of the Jagua.
Gardenia extract :
This technique called inkbox is quite similar to jagua. The tattoo is applied without water, but requires 2 to 3 hours of application. The tattoos appear in 24 to 48 hours like jagua, but disappear twice as quickly. These constraints convinced us to use jagua for our tattoos.
Henna :
Traditional henna produces reddish-brown colors. It is used in some cultures during ceremonies. It does not match the color we wanted for our tattoos. Black henna is strongly discouraged because it contains ingredients that are dangerous to health.
